Nov. 24 (Mon)  11:00 A.M.   AACA SOCAL AND FRIENDS  This is a special collection of a dozen plus tow trucks and other modes of transportation that the AAA used to help those in need on the road. Will Rogers Highway, also known as Route 66, will have its 100th year Anniversary in 2026. We have heard from the Rogers family and others since the fires. In 2026 there will be celebrations in other states.  We have been invited to visit venues on route 66 in California.   Thank you to those who are calling and want to be part of a celebration in California which we are working on.         

Route 66 was anointed on November 11, 1926, but it would take until 1938 before the entire route was paved with concrete. It quickly became one of the nation’s principal east-west routes, not only connecting small rural towns to each other but also connecting Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles via the nation’s first all-weather road. 

Jan. 2026 (Sat or Sun) In the planning stage.  1 – 4 pm. AACA SOCAL and FRIENDS will visit the Burbank Historical Society Gordon R. Howard Museum Complex. There is something for everyone: cars, Lockheed display, vintage clothing, toy train collection, 1887 Victorian house, vintage cameras and much more throughout the complex.    RSVP   Joel (310) 471-8503
