Will Rogers Highway, also known as Route 66, will have its 100th year Anniversary in 2026. We have heard from the Rogers family and others. We have been invited to visit venues on route 66. Thank you to those who are calling and want to be part of the celebrations in California and other states. We will list events and look forward to participation by AACA SOCAL AND FRIENDS. Route 66 was anointed on November 11, 1926, but it would take until 1938 before the entire route was paved with concrete. It quickly became one of the nation’s principal east-west routes, not only connecting small rural towns to each other but also connecting Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles via the nation’s first all-weather highway.
August 8 (Sat) Vintage Rides and a Classic Boat Car Show - 12pm to 4pm. Clearman’s Galley, 7215 Rosemead Blvd., San Gabriel. This all-free show is a great family event.
