Will Rogers Highway, also known as Route 66, will have its 100th year Anniversary in 2026. We have heard from the Rogers family and others.  We have been invited to visit venues on route 66. Thank you to those who are calling and want to be part of the celebrations in California and other states.  We will list events and look forward to participation by AACA SOCAL AND FRIENDS. Route 66 was anointed on November 11, 1926, but it would take until 1938 before the entire route was paved with concrete. It quickly became one of the nation’s principal east-west routes, not only connecting small rural towns to each other but also connecting Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles via the nation’s first all-weather highway.

Oct. 4 (Sun) The Lincoln & Continental Owners Club, So Cal Cadillac & LaSalle Club, Southern California Imperial Owners, Inc., Earle C. Anthony Packard Club, Classic Car Club of America and Antique Automobile Club of America (Southern California Region) will have a combined meet. This car show and pot luck dining will be at the William R Mason Regional Park, Parking lot C and Shelter 4 in IRVINE AT 18712 University Dr. CA 92612 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is just $5 per person payable in advance and $5 per car when entering the park. Each AACA member should bring Desserts for 8 people. Nov. 8 (Sun) AACA members and friends are invited to enjoy a delightful afternoon concert presented by the Santa Monica College Emeritus Band at 1:00 p.m. at the Broad Stage, located at 1310 11th Street, Santa Monica. There is no charge to attend, and you’ll find a large, free parking lot right in front of the venue. Their concerts are consistently excellent, professional, and entertaining, often lasting up to 90 minutes. After the performance, we usually head to a nearby deli for a relaxed meal and conversation — always a nice way to wrap up the afternoon. We hope you’ll join us for great music and good company.
