Will Rogers Highway, also known as Route 66, will have its 100th year Anniversary in 2026. We have heard from the Rogers family and others.  We have been invited to visit venues on route 66. Thank you to those who are calling and want to be part of the celebrations in California and other states.  We will list events and look forward to participation by AACA SOCAL AND FRIENDS. Route 66 was anointed on November 11, 1926, but it would take until 1938 before the entire route was paved with concrete. It quickly became one of the nation’s principal east-west routes, not only connecting small rural towns to each other but also connecting Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles via the nation’s first all-weather road. 

Jan. 17 (Sat) Earlybirds  11:00 Mustang Immersive Experience in Los Angeles.

Jan. 24 (Sat) 1 – 4 pm. AACA SOCAL and FRIENDS will visit the Burbank Historical Society Gordon R. Howard Museum Complex at no charge. There is something for everyone: cars, Lockheed display, vintage clothing, toy train collection, 1887 Victorian house, vintage cameras and much more throughout the complex.   You can use the entrance at 1100 W. Clark, across from the free parking lot.  The Tallyrand Restaurant (1700 W Olive Ave.) has been recommended.
